Chuka Onwumechili is Professor of Communication and Editor of the Howard Journal of Communications. He also serves on the Editorial Board of the Communication and Sport Journal. He has authored or co-edited over 10 books and published in several academic journals as well as reviews for several academic journals. Dr. Onwumechili also previously served as Interim Dean for the School of Communications at Howard University and was Vice President for the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) in Abuja, Nigeria.
Dr. Onwumechili earned his Ph.D. in Human Communication Studies at Howard University, the Master of Advertising from Northwestern University (Evanston), Illinois, and Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from the University of Nigeria (Nsukka).
