Srikanth Nandigama received his MSc from California State University, Sacramento and MFA in Film from Howard University’s Cathy Hughes School of Communications. He has worked as a Director of Photography on many award-winning short films and music videos. His work has been screened across the world and has been nominated at multiple independent film festivals.
As an Assistant Professor at the Department of Media, Journalism and Film at Howard University, his areas of teaching include intermediate and advanced film production courses: Introduction to Media Production, Non-Linear Video Editing, and Cinematography I and II. Previously, he has also worked as a Visiting Lecturer and Adjunct Instructor in the Film and Video Studies Program at George Mason University.
Research Interests
Professor Nandigama’s area of research focuses on the psychological impact of Cinematography. His educational background in Electronics keeps him on track with technological advancement in the field of interest. Through his research work, he aims to explore various interactive and immersive methods of filmmaking and implement them in presenting socially relevant content to the audience.
