* ENGW Classes must be taken in sequence without exception.
All MJFC and ENGW classes require a grade of C or better. Seventy-two of the 120 credit hours required for graduation must be taken outside the School of Communications. This includes all minors and general electives. You must register and receive prior approval for the Practicum from the Internship Coordinator. A portfolio of your work, with specified productions over the four years, is required for graduation and must receive final approval during the Capstone class. If you test out of foreign languages, you can replace these courses with general electives. Adherence to this scheme by non-communication majors does not influence the student’s chances of admission to the School of Communications and does not presuppose acceptance. See academic advisors for further information.
STUDENTS WHO HAVE ENROLLED IN A COURSE WITHOUT THE PROPER PREREQUISITE(S) WILL BE ADMINISTRATIVELY WITHDRAWN FROM THE COURSE. A COURSE AND ITS PREREQUISITE CANNOT BE TAKEN IN THE SAME SEMESTER.
