Dr. Wei Sun, associate professor, is a Fulbright Specialist in Communications/Journalism. Her research interests include intercultural communication, new media studies, health communication, and international communication. She is the Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Communication, Culture and Media Studies at Howard University. She teaches doctoral seminars in Race, Culture and Social Justice, Intercultural Communication, Qualitative Research Methods, Social Media, Communication and Culture, Diversity and Leadership, and Community and Public Health. Dr. Sun’s publications have appeared in the Journal of Faculty Development, the Howard Journal of Communications, Intercultural Communication Studies, and World Communication, etc. Her scholarly works on health communication, social media, and intercultural communication have been included in many academic books. She received her PhD from Howard University, an MA from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, an MA from Beijing Normal University (China), and her BA from Qufu Normal University (China).
