Audio
Audio Production students study the science of sound and digital audio, the recording of the voice and the environment, digital editing, mixing and mastering, and the effects of sound and music in audio productions. Students have produced award-winning projects including, but not limited to commercials and public service announcements for Howard University’s WHUR Radio Network – including student-run stations WHBC and glasshouseradio.com – short and long-form audio documentaries, audio podcasts/radio programs and soundtracks for visual media including film, television and webcasts. This course of study encourages students to learn about and explore the rich variety of career opportunities for sound and audio production professionals.
