Moriah Denton Heading to PCA/ACA in March 2018
The SLMC Department is proud to share that Moriah Denton’s proposal was accepted for the Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association National Conference in Indianapolis in March 2018. Denton, a senior, submitted a paper examining copyright issues in the context of fashion and design.
Denton, a legal communications major and sociology minor at Howard, currently works an intern with the DC Volunteer Lawyers Project and serves as the Scholarship and Continuing Education Chair for the Howard University Pre-Law Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International. Denton also has interned with Every Child Matters, a child advocacy organization, and the District of Columbia’s Office of the Attorney General. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, Denton plans on pursuing a JD in efforts to begin a legal career.
