HU PRSSA’s Boddie, Waller Receive Grants for National Conference

The SLMC Department is proud to share that Nicole Boddie and Jared Waller, president and vice-president, respectively, of Howard University’s D. Parke Gibson Chapter of PRSSA, have been awarded grants to attend the PRSSA 2017 National Conference in Boston.

Boddie is a junior Public Relations major from Laurel, MD and active in the Air Force ROTC program, serving as the cadet Wing Executive Officer and the Financial Management Officer for the Arnold Air Society. In her free time, Boddie enjoys singing with the Howard University Community Choir, watching basketball and teaching others how to swim. She dreams of exploring the world as a Public Affairs officer or as a pilot.

Jared Waller is a rising junior public relation major from Memphis, TN. At Howard, Jared has served in numerous organizations including the Spotlight Network where he serves as Communications & Branding Director. This summer, Waller interned Havas PR in New York where he worked with consumer division for clients such as Little Caesers, AQUA Carpatica, and True Citrus. His ultimate goal is to become a spokesperson for a large corporation to promote positive images of the African American consumer.
