Professional Experience: Dr. Payne is internationally renowned due to her unique specialization in sociolinguistics and cultural anthropology. She is twice a Fulbright Fellow in Egypt and India. Her international interests have also led to Russia, Ukraine, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, France, Italy, Guam, Namibia, Brazil, Australia and New Zealand, Ghana and Cuba.
Research Interests: Dr. Payne’s research interests are in the areas of sociolinguistics, cultural anthropology, cultural diversity and the praxis.
