SLMC 231. Mock Trial. 3 crs. Mock Trial is designed to provide students with an introduction to communication in legal processes specifically for trial court settings. Mock Trial will expose students to the fundamental structure of trial court litigation. This course offers the basic principles of civil and criminal litigation and practice, including various aspects of law, such as the rules of procedure, statutes and case laws. It is expected that each student will gain invaluable experience regarding the principles of persuasion while enhancing their ability to argue and object, utilizing the rules of evidence and civil procedure often exemplified in trial court litigation. Prereq: SLMC 203.
