Office of Career Development

The Office of Career Development provides full-service career counseling to undergraduate and graduate students in all majors of the John H. Johnson School of Communications. Additionally, the office offers the same services to alumni of the School. Goals and objectives of the office are to:

  • Provide professional links through which students and alumni can integrate knowledge and skills gained in both the communications curricular and practicum experiences in coordination with the mission and goals of the University.
  • Increase a stronger relationship between the School’s alumni and students.
  • Increase the role in which corporations play in the hiring of Howard University interns through the establishment of a corporate Adopt-A-Team program.
  • Host the Annual Communications Career Fair to increase the minority presence throughout the communications industries.
